He did not give up his dream because a few spineless people verbally assaulted him. Should we?

We may not have the same job description, but we still place a lot of pressure on ourselves to perform as perfect wives, mothers, workers, interior decorators, housekeepers, cooks, daughters, sisters etc. etc. etc… These days we are still busy women, working early morning to late at night to be perfect and do everything. We’re locked into an unrealistic trap of being too busy, above and beyond what the Proverbs 31 women represents.
Nowadays, it’s not unusual to find a boy surrounded by many girls. Boys have a hard time choosing who to go out with, and girls have a hard time being singled out from among their friends. It’s a battle out there, a feminine war. Who will get the boy this weekend? Who can get the most attention this week? Who will the boys talk about this week?
That being said, just because you don't specifically struggle with a compulsive behavior like an eating disorder doesn't mean you're free from the downward spiral of vanity. As soon as you give in to the lie that anything will fill you but Christ, you begin to play the vanity game.
